Well, we took note of people's suggestions, so chocolate pudding and treacle tart are on next Sunday's special menu! Everyone welcome - you don't have to be a mother, unless you want a little pressie, in which case parenthood of the female persuasion is a must.

The menu is on the micropage - click on the signature.

Thanks for the reminder - must arrange a present asap!

I always struggle with this bit - here's a question for all you mothers, what would your perfect present be? (let's be honest, having me for a son is probably about the best present there is, so I'm talking icing on the cake type stuff here! )

I always used http://www.postarose.com, or http://www.thorntons.co.uk - my mum used to love getting them both, It's so easy, just go on line and they will be delivered to her door. Just a thought.

CF, I always like it when my kids make me a personal CD of my fave music.

Decided on a book I know she'll really enjoy, and a nice personalised card from Moonpig - she's a sucker for a nice bit of verse is my old Mam!

Martin, so am I. I was in tears when I read my birthday card from my daughter. Funny it used to be my son that sent sentimental cards and my daughter didn't but now it has changed the other way round. Unfortunately my mum died just over 3 years ago but I still buy some Fressia in her memory on Mothers Day and her birthday.

Always flowers for my mama - this year she gets chocs as well as the soppy message, just because she's wonderful.
