Well it's a cracking sunny today again here in Peyia, lovely and warm and the forecast for the next few days looks similar - not be too long until March when it starts warming up properly, so do people reckon we've seen off the worst of the weather for another year? Think it's been the mildest/dryest winter since I moved here - hope I'm not tempting fate mind! |

Mild? It has been the coldest winter for several years. We even had a light sprinkling of snow at sea level. The last time I saw that was 1990/1. It has also been dryer than normal, which is not at all what we want. We still need lots of rain and/or snow in the mountains. Is winter over? No - February is often the wettest month. Let's hope this one is no exception ... though I fear it will be |

I hope we get some serious rain soon (though I love the sun). We have had no water since Monday lunch time. This morning the tanks were empty.... We just get cut off without warning and it is a pain in the butt. Tiggy |

Hi all So what can I expect the weather to be like at the beginning of March (apart from the coptic storm of course). Staying up in Tala. Will it be warm enough to sunbathe and use the swimming pool? Lisa |

I don't get in the pool until mid May (I'm a light weight though - it takes me about 45 minutes to edge my way into the pool!). In saying that I know loads of people who use the pool in March but I think they don't have the same temperature gauge as me! We moved over in March 4 years ago and I was sun bathing straight away - still quite cool on an evening though, so bring a jumper! Y |

Thanks Yvonne. I've been over in January and saw some very brave people using the pool. Been in May, August and October but never March. Will pack something warm for the evenings. Lisa |

We had visitors in April who used the pool. They must have been mad! I never go near it until the water temperature is 26 degrees! I'll stick to jeans and jumper and thermal underwear for a while longer |

I agree. Pembrokeshire has not industry other than tourism, and come Easter the caravan brigade will start to arrive. They will be closely followed by the hiking brigade, complete with shorts and long socks. They will be out in them whatever the weather. Is it just a British thing so you think??? |

I was sitting outside our shop on Protaras strip yesterday - not particularly warm in jeans, teeshirts and hoody - and a family walked past in swimwear - females in sarongs, males in shorts no tops and they were carrying lilos! Thought I was hallucinating at first. |

Thought I was hallucinating at first. I hear that that it is all pedestrianised down that way.. which shop do you have, I used to live down there.. |

Hi Neil. Yes Protaras tourist strip had a bit of a facelift a couple of years ago, its not quite pedestrianised but the traffic is one-way now and there are 2 mini-squares with fountains. Fig Tree Bay has had a bit of an update as well but I think it had more charm before. Our shop is just off the strip - we do tattoos. |

I was down at the Limnaria shops last weekend, and a woman got out of a car, wearing a short skirt and a skimpy strappy top. I was in long trousers, socks, a t shirt, sweater over the top, and a body warmer She gave me a very strange look Jean |

Tourists always look at me funny Jean Was out earlier by St George hotel wearing a t shirt, hoody, jeans, boots and a big long cardi/coat thing and these milk bottle white people walked past and gave me the most awful look... Dread to think what way they'd look if I was naked and showing obscenely white flesh... x |

Oh, God, I know what you mean. It feels like forever since I had a bit of colour - still, I'll be able to take it easy this summer, and gradually build up a tan, rather than risk it all at weekend, and end up getting burned! Jean |

Jean Don't rub it in now Jean Apart from 2 weeks in Cyprus I can look forward to long days in a dreary office and a rainy summer in Manchester Unless of course I win the lottery Julie x |

We would all be stripping off, I guess, if we were on holiday. But when you live here you do become acclimatised. Just take a look at the holidaymakers and see how tanned they are. Me I'm so white I look like I have been embalmed. Molly |

Well it's still absolutely lovely here today I know I should be worried about water shortages, but I do just love the sunshine, always makes me feel that bit happier! |
