I'm still trying to figure out if someone from Edinburgh is called an " Edin Burger " eg. if you come from Hamburg, you are known as a " McDonald " Surely, Shirley or other will have an answer. From an interested S****S****** aka JGG |

Evening all. Well I put a joint of pork on, just for the two of us and then started chatting to our next door neighbours and they joined us for dinner. We had roast pork, roast potatoes, mashed swede (plenty of butter and black pepper and broccolli) and gravy. It was bl**dy yummy, even though I say it myself. O/h has washed up and now we are ready for a snuggle up in front of t.v. Thought I would come on here and see what is happening. Molly |

How did this thread get on to pancakes ? There is someone out there who agrees with me this is on a ‘Roots ‘ website It brought to mind when Glasgow was running a very successful publicity campaign “ Glasgow’s miles better “ that a lot of people were unaware of the cleverly understated “ Edinburgh’s Slightly Superior “ which I liked From: "Alan Ireland" <ireland> Subject: Re: [MLN] citizen of Edinburgh Date: Wed, 5 Feb 2003 17:45:56 -0000 References: <3e407346> I think properly it should be "Edinburgensian", so not surprisingly it doesn't get used much! Generally, Alastair |
