Not long back from my walk with the girls and it is lovely today.

I actually felt too hot with my benny hat on (have to wear a hat in the mornings as the girls don't give me enough time to get ready)and fleece - first time in a few months.

Also we have blossom on our peach tree - just hope we get a good crop this year and nobody pinches them like last year

Sorry to the folks in the UK, didn't mean to rub it in.

At least in winter you are warm in your houses whereas we are not and when even your bones are chattering it really isn't nice.

It still feels strange to me to have to go outside to warm up as the house is cold inside.

Trish I smiled at your posting, I actually enjoy the four seasons of the British weather even the snow and yes we are warm and cosy inside with our log fires and central heating, but boy is it good to arrive in Cyprus for a month or so and enjoy the mild winter and sunshine of Cyprus really looking forward to it.

Jan when you have lived here for a few years the winters feel awful although I do know they are milder than the UK it still feels cold to me.

It was gorgeous yesterday, sat in the sun to keep warm as the house is too cold with a polo neck sweater and vest on. Looks like another nice day today which means hot water for free - love that bit as trying to economise by not turning the boiler on. At least our electric bill wasn't horrendous only CYP84 and this time last year it was over a CYP100 so by waiting for the water to heat up naturally it has worked, although sometimes I don't get a shower until midday - hate that bit.

Just thinking how funny it is, in winter you want a nice hot shower and you don't get enough hot water for it, yet in summer you want a cold one and the water is just about boiling.

'Beautiful' how else can we discribe the sunshine!

Great to have hot water again and not forgetting to switch the boiler on just to clean a dish nevermind ourselves!
I do miss central heating especialy when you stamber out the shower... getting cold just thinking about it brrrrr.

Oh well housework done with jacket still on... i am now going to warm up outside and hopefuly take off jacket listening to Nina Simone 'Her comes the sun'

It is another beautiful morning and just to update you all no I did not get the job. Got the phone call yesterday while Jackie was busy trying to make me a cup of tea running from Pete's shop and back again but was not surprised in the least and I have been doing a lot of thinking since then - trouble is Steve hates it when I start thinking .
