Well folks i was sitting here and reading the forums in pafos and thought.

It is just like a book you have been given. The last 5 years i have been reading it with intrigue as you read so much useful info. What a great present and for free. Some of the characters in it make me laugh and sometimes i cringe.I seem to be on the first chapter and not how long it goes on for.

It is a bit like the series Lost" never ending untill on tv the actor said it will end in couple years as they are writing final bits.

Lets hope these forums never end and get better and better and that means every forum that assists in those wanting the move or just holidays.

frank :D

great book can't put it down

What a lovely way to look at forums, Frank. They are like a book of life, and the chapter you are reading is the Cyprus chapter.

I think that forums will continue, as long as their focus is on the good of the collective, and not the individual. It would be amazing if like-minded forums could come together to work for the collective good of the people who use them. Some are more altruistic than others. There are some good ones out there, and I have given credit where I believe it is due. I am not going to say that PP is one of the good ones cos it goes without saying.

Personally I like a friendly forum that has a mixture of good-humoured sarcasm and wit as well as information that is put over in a non-threatening way so that people feel that they can ask questions without being belittled. I have no problem with anyone having a differing opinion, but I can never see the need to attack others personally, or be aggressive to an individual. I do like to analyse the psychology of these types, though. Makes life interesting if you don't take them too seriously. We will see how many PP gets and whether we need a bigger sin bin. I might be the first in it if I go off on one about something that upsets me.

As we all like different styles of books, we will all like different forums. I like the eclectic, so I will continue to visit several forums. Just liken me to a pirate on the high seas pilaging information from lots of vessels.

There. Now you know what floats my boat as far as forums are concerned.

Axel - that guy has stolen my crutch!

The other thread about pirate ships obviously set my mind off on a theme. I have always been a bit of a free spirit, so if my pirate analogy is inappropriate, how about a Romany, just passing through the different forums and gathering the charms? That could suit the half of me that is Italian, I suppose. Just imagine, Gypsy Rose Lee meets Jonny Depp.

Tilly - you can whitter on for Scotland, girl. You would make a perfect parrot.  Don't know about sitting on my shoulder though.

They say that for a book to be a success it had to contain something to hold the reader's interest like Royalty, Religion, Sex or Mystery. I'm currently reading " My God, the Queen's Pregnant, I wonder who did it ? " but it is a bit dull.
