Here is the information from the Cyprus Government web site http://www.mof.gov.cy/mof/customs/customs.nsf/ced07_en/ced07_en?OpenDocument Happy reading ps There is also a section where you can email the government BUT don't know how long you might have to wait for a reply |

one thing I do know is that you must have owned the car for no less than 6 months before you can ship it over. |

We brought a twin cab over a couple of years ago. Cost us, to get it there and on the road, approx £1,200. We only brought it a few weeks before shipping as it is duty paid. (thats another can of worms) Took 2 weeks to arrive and 2 days to collect it from Limisol and do the paperwork. It was well worth it in our case. As it went in a contanier we were able to fill it up with loads of other stuff we wanted to get over. Mal |

Yes, a can of worms. If a car is purchased duty free in the UK (an EU country) and transported to another EU country (Cyprus) surely the EU duty has been paid and what Cyprus seem to be playing on is the owners status in Cyprus ie resident or retired. |

With out getting too tecnical you should allow min €2000 to complet the process if you DIY . There are agents that will help but will cost you extra. The main consideration is that parts for european cars are hard work here and they are more rusty than Cyprus modles. Most car dealer are not importing as many from uk now (what dose that tell you) also the market price for registed and duty paid cars is lower than before |
