OK Simon so weve had the first heavy rains.

Apart from checking tyres, brakes, coolant, wipers, fluid levels what else should we be checking. And in doing the checks what should we be looking for in particular?

A young bloke up the road ran out the house to close his car windows.

He slipped over on to his back then kicked the wall and broke his big toe and split the nail at the same time.

OUCH!

Check your tyre tread and get the correct amount of air in them.Check breaks after driving through heavy rain and puddles by depressing pedal gently to dry the pads out.
Check windscreen wipers are not worn and are working properly.
Drive with due care to road conditions.
All common sense really.
Safe driving folks and enjoy the rain!

My rain tips
Lift bonnet of car and remove all leaves and debris from where wipers are. Water needs to run out or will give elerical damage.
Good tyres on front.
If you have leaking sun roof seal it up with clear silicone.
Cheak spaire tyre well could be full of water is so drill hole or remove grommet.
Fit new wipers .
If you have vitara jeep soft top cable tie the roof and put small screws in back edge of roof where the clips are broken
Cheak lights as is getting dark early.
Wax you car to pervent water damage. Use a good one that will repel water.

If i thinkof any more will add them later.
