More than likely, yes - it will. But to be honest, we've always found it's better to take the car to the MOT centre and just see what happens. You could take it to a local garage for a pre-MOT inspection and they could do work on it which won't be picked up by the centres.... I fully expected mine to fail earlier this year as it sounds like the left side front suspension is knocking a bit. But, it passed with flying colours and my hubby (who took it) was informed "you have a very good car" which is what we were also told when it went for it's first MOT after we purchased it - 9 years ago! |

if when driven into the mot bay by the inspector it is not audible he will not fail the vehicle, if the rubber boot/gaitor is split then 100% failure, if the boot for the constant velocity joint is split then you may as well change the end joint, if its a jap car upto 1600cc look towards 80 too 120 euros as a replacement, if boot ok and only clicks on full lock when accelerating this can be nursed along for a while, ie light throttle on a full lock, but a repair would be needed in the future.....good luck |
