I am sure this question has been asked before but all advice welcome. Bringing my car from the uk for a period of approx 6 months or hiring a car for the same period. |

Another option would be to buy an old car (say, 500 euros for something made in the 90s) and sell it after the 6 months. |

Not sure what you would get for 500 euros, probably cost a fortune to keep it going ! |

It cost us £650/€770 to ship our car over. presumably you would do it this way??? So, there and back would costs £1300/€1540 without any motoring expenses and port fees ... or were you planning on driving? |

Thanks for the advice guys. JB, it would probably cost me that in fuel to drive down to Greece or Turkey and sail over to the island? I presume I won't have to pay any import tax as I am only bringing it in temporarily? |
