The health ministry announced that two people had died of Covid-19 and that a record 5,048 had tested positive from, another record, 169,476 PCR and rapid tests, a positivity rate of 2.98 per cent. The deaths concerned a man aged 76 and a woman aged 78. Total deaths stand at 638 with an average age of 76. There are 180 people in hospitals of whom 79 are in serious condition. Of these, 28 are intubated. The ministry said that the percentage of unvaccinated patients was 85 per cent.
