Just wondered what the feel is the government will be doing for travelers from the UK after the 31st Jan deadline. Is the word on the street still PCR test before travel and at arrival airport? `hoping to eventually get back out in May this year after 2 years absent with little to no restrictions in bars and restaurants. is this a realistic possibility do you think?

People are still flying into Cyprus carrying the virus and are found on PCR checks at the airport as they arrive here daily....personally I hope that the PCR checks will not stop ...as every time we get the virus under control ...it is flown in again

But who knows! They can,t keep PCR checking every single person in forever ..especially when the holiday season starts

On the bars, resteraunts and shops ...we all carry Safe Passes and ID proof to get in
And we all wear masks ...there is no standing at bars or walking table to table in resteraunts
Everyone is supposed to wear masks when walking indoors and to go to use the bathrooms
And people and businesses are fined for breaking the covid pass and mask wearing laws

Haven,t heard of the Safe Passes stopping at any time soon or the wearing of masks

But again...things change ...the government meet every Wednesday and declare the new covid laws to us all then

We have always had much stricter covid laws here than in the uk and continue to do so for the time being

Think you may be being unrealistic to think that Cyprus will be behaving like the uk any time soon ...but who knows what May will bring...May is a long time away in pandemic terms ...maybe the pandemic will be over by then for us all! Fingers crossed. We all live in hope!
