Post subject:  Moving to Cyprus

Hi everyone, wondering if anyone can give me some info & advice.
Im seriously thinking of moving to Cyprus next January, i just have no idea where abouts to move to. Been looking at Paphos & it looks like such a huge place i have no idea wheres the best area. I wouldnt mind living near a busy tourist area, near a beach? also my husband is a doorman so would like to know where the clubs are & are busy.
We live in Kos at the moment so we know we have to come over first to look for work & properties. Also we are used to it being quiet in winter so we know what to expect.
Any help & info would be really appreciated, thanks!

Hello, and welcome to PP! :welcome

Paphos is quite a small place really, so nowhere is very far from the tourist areas and beaches - main tourist areas are Kato Paphos/Harbour area (the main housing area near there is called "Universal") and Coral Bay, which is in Peyia region, where a lot of expats live.

Work-wise, it's quiet like everywhere at the moment, and didn't get too busy even in the peak of summer last year, but for bar/doorman work your best bet by far is the aptly named Bar Street, just up from the harbour, which has a concentration of bars and nearly all the clubs - a lot of them are shut just at the moment, and probably won't start opening up now until March at the earliest.
