Post subject:  Wood for the Winter

We have bought our house in Stroumpi and are preparing for winter, I have managed to find some wood and will continue to scavage for more wood whenever possible, but as a back up I may actually have to buy some. Can I have some suggestions regarding what is the best wood to burn and who is reliable in providing same. Also any suggestions about where to get it for free.

Another thiung , polemi Dave might be able to point you in the right direction of wood ..

If you need to buy it,we found Charis on 97787938 very reliable.
Only buy hardwood not pine and he does a good load for 80e.
Neil could be right about carob but I was under the impression it was in short supply as the trees are protected, could have beem misinformed though.
