Hello!

Husband Nick and I arrived in Cyprus to live last week. We are renting property as we want the choice to be able to move if we wish to do so.

So happy to be here, we are still of working age and hope to start a business. We are well aware that Cyprus is one of many victims of the recession but still hope to make a living and keep ourselves happy in place that we love.

We have brought Daisy our mini yorkie and Lylia and Myrah our cats with us. I understand that there are a lot of problems with poisoning, we are in the Simou region and many of the village locals appear to have both cats and dogs. Does anyone know if there are areas round here to avoid, (we also like to walk along from Latchi to Polis as that is an area we both know fairly well). Should we find a vet who can provide us with a 'first aid kit' for the dog? We think it is likely that the 2 cats will stay in the house as they did in England. We will not be letting the dog run loose and our garden is fenced in, however we are still worried.

A silly question - does anyone know where we can get hot water bottles from as our feet refuse to warm up - think we brought sunny Bournemouth's weather with us!
Also a g

Hope to get to meet some of you soon.
