I know ! this is a UK topic but it is for all you Expats with long memories.

As from January 201 the ARGOS catalogue will cease to exist. :shock:

It was twice a year the word went round that the new Argos catalogue was out, anyone who grew up or shopped in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, all before online shopping rushed out to get one.

My kids were born in the mid to late 70's and were excited when mum brought a catalogue home, especially the edition that had all the Christmas toys, they went straight to the that section compiling lists.

Oh well RIP the Argos Catalogue :-(

I still have not joined the online society and i am not plugged in 24/7 either. I guess Argos will be online ordering with a few pickup points, adapt to survive !

I enjoy online shopping
I am able to look at items
And read the reviews

I know what you mean about the catalogues
Back then we waited with bated breath

But things now are all online

And those that want to cut down on paper use
Will be applauding
