In the next few months I retire and we're wanting to move over to the island, my question is what opportunities for work are there for a retired detective for work? |

It depends what your interests are and if you're wanting to be paid or be a volunteer for a charity, ie animal welfare, cancer patients/hospices, refugees. I know the cancer charities are always on the look out for people with cars to help take patients to hospital appointments etc.

There are, to my knowledge, four security companies in Paphos installing security systems, presumably they require experienced staff to advise on matters. Cypriots sort out their own "problems". Good luck. Alan |

If you haven't already thought of it, you could contact the MOD Police and see if there are any vacancies for the two military bases out here, in either a uniformed or civilian capacity. Might even get your pension transferred as well. |
