| Post subject: | Municipality Tax (Peyia) |
I have been told that after receiving my Title Deeds (I have had my Title Deeds for over one year now) that i should inform my municipality (Peyia) of the fact. This should be done because on receipt of Title Deeds my Municipality Tax is then increased. Any advice you could give me would be appreciated. Thank you |

I have had my title deeds for over eight years and have asked twice at City Hall if there is a 'town tax' or something similar to pay to the Municipality. Twice I have been told you only pay water rates and the garbage/rates tax. You can try it yourself. Go to the information kiosk outside City Hall and ask Andreas who is usually there and he will tell you the same, only two taxes. However, I do believe some sort of 'dodge's is going on where people are asked to pay a 'small tax' which the locals tell me is nonsense and only goes to support the Peyia private football team. Will be interested in you findings. |
