Is anyone able to tell me whether there is any legal permission or such like needed to operate a business from home in Cyprus. Thank you in advance. |

I would expect that the line of work itself will be what decides that - I know of a number of people on this site work that predominately work from home, generally working on or via the web. |

it all depends on what you do - for example, an online worker will have to worry about less than someone who is a hairdresser or beauty therapist. Insurance, transport, whether you want someone to know where you live, etc., they all play a part in it! |

Thank you for the replies. It was really whether like over here in the UK you need planning/permissions etc to operate a business from home; along the lines of people coming to the house like a hairdressers for example. |

for anything, I'd recommend getting an accountant - there's some pretty good ones out there that don't charge the earth, and can help when it comes to registering the business, and yourself, etc. Have a look on the sponsors section for one or two (i think...), and they'll be able to let you know more. Have PM'd you as well |
