Are Living Wills legal in Cyprus? Can someone stipulate a life support machine is shut off as in Switzerland for instance, or is euthanasia legal?

For those you may not understand what a Living Will is:-
A Living Will allows you to record what you would like to happen regarding any future medical care or treatments that you may receive in the event that you cannot communicate those wishes at the time.
A Living Will only deals with your wishes regarding medical treatment when you are alive. You should ensure that a Will is also written to handle your affairs in the event of your death.

It may also be worth considering
A Power of Attorney for Health Care allows you to nominate a Healthcare Representative who can make health care decisions for you when you are incapacitated and unable to make decisions for yourself. It can be used to complement your Living Will

Don’t know the legalities in Cyprus but sure Haris will be able to clarify.

There are no living Wills in Cyprus.

A power of attorney is no longer valid when the person dies or becomes incapacitated.

If a person becomes incapacitated, the person (husband/child) who assumes their care must apply to the Court to be appointed as the Administrator to be able to take their decision and manage their affairs and finances.

All actions of the said Administrator have to be submitted to the Court.
