Hi

Can you please advise , we purchased Land about four years ago with all Title Deeds in place , we have now built a villa on the land with all building permits and necessary documents signed off , we should have the power connection within the next 2 to 3 months , my question now is what do we need to do to get the Title deeds for the Building on the land and what / where do we go to do this , and what will be the charges ??? and this maybe a stupid question but is there a time frame to do this and is it a must .

Thanks and Regards

Les

But, it would have been good and useful to others to have seen a reply on the forum.

Sometimes, issues like this can be very specific and personal. So a pm first is helpful to avoid any conflict.

Am I to believe that you've forked out dosh for land, architects, surveyors, obtained all the permissions centrally and locally, presumaby used a solicitor for the relevant searches etc, negotiated a contract with a builder, built a house, accumulated a mountain of paperwork and yet none of your experts could advise you on this?

High Pete

Yes we have done all of what you said , only pending thing now is the power supply to the villa which should happen within a month or so , but with everything we were being given varied and incomplete advise on what we needed to do , even down to the fact that unless we wanted to sell ( which we don't ) they why bother to get the house registered on the Land as as we have been told as the Title Deeds and in our name , then anything on the land belongs to us .

That is why we asked the perticular question .

And would we build again NEVER .

Regards

Les

Why not restart a new self build thread showing positive and negative issues as they appeared and also any issues you would have handled differently.
