Seemingly new legislation proposed July 2015 whereby 30% defence tax on interest would cease to apply to people residing but not domiciled in Cyprus.

I have now received confirmation that if one is a tax resident of Cyprus but not domuciled in Cyprus, then zero tax on interest.
Apparently new legislation - July 2015.

Thanks for that link toonarmy , I could not get my head round this domiciled business . But the way I read it , although i have lived here 5 years I have my yellow slip and am in the Cyprus tax system , I am considered "non domiciled " until I reach 17 years here (if I live that long ;) )

Not that it makes much odds to me , I only get a few pennies a year interest , but I can see it will be a plus to some people .
