Jeremy Corbyn is now legally entitled to be included in the Leadership ballot. It would seem that there is to be a two horse race between him and Owen Smith. Either way, the outcome will almost certainly be a split in the Labour party as we know it. And almost certainly a 'new' party will emerge from the 'those labourites that hate JC, and the 'leftovers' from the Lib Dems (plus others who are not sure which way the wind blows!).
So no credible opposition to the Tories for many years to come?

I wouldn't bank on that just yet! The Conservative Party has been split for years over the EU, and
still are. Now they have Brexit to sort out - as they had not planned for it.
Tomorrow's Cabinet Meeting at Chequers should be interesting when they try and concoct a road-map for the Brexit.
Standby for possible resignations.
Geoff.
