We are looking for a good caring home for Khan, a 14 month old German Shepherd dog. We took Khan out of Polemidia pound 2 months ago when he was about to be euthanised. He was very sick, malnourished and nervous at the time.

Since Khan has been with us he has received veterinary treatment, good food and lots of TLC, and he's now a lovely strong healthy dog that deserves a kind loving home.

He's a short-coated Shepherd, black and tan, gentle, submissive and loyal, though still a little nervous. He will make a nice pet rather than a guard dog - he's affectionate, very playful and extremely quick to learn. He gets on well with all our dogs, good on and off leash, not so good with cats however. Khan needs a home with plenty of room and lots of exercise.

I hope we can find the right person Khan ...he's such a lovely dog now... another week down Polemidia and I'm sure he would have been dead ..goodness knows what he must have been through before we took him .

Once he's homed we'll have room to rescue another dog from the pound...there are so many really nice dogs down there just waiting there time out to euthanised..
