I am looking for a friendly dog to add to our family I have 2 kids 9 and 15 and 2 cats so it must like both of these elements lol.

i don't want a little yappy dog as we like to go for long walks or a massive scary dog who will drag me off , something medium spaniel sized would be good . not bothered about it being a puppy but would like it to have already be house trained and spayed would consider taking two if they were brothers or something . we will be moving house in sept and will have a big garden for them to run in and a pool to swim in . please email me back carolsegan@hotmail.co.uk if you know of any dog suitable , ready to adopt from sept 2012

Thank You

Hi Carol,
Could you not get in touch with Paphiakos or Parc?
They have so many dogs craving a new home and family.

Paphiakos charge so much for a dog from their place it puts a lot of people off.Sounds like Carol wants one already house trained and spayed, injections etc so doesn't have to pay out for that to be done.
Whatever you get Carol, swimming pools laced with chemicals are not suitable for dogs let alone sharing with your children.
Try to get 2 that don't bark non stop day and night and drive your neighbours mad!
We have friends (pretty tolerant pair with dog of their own) that have moved 4 times in as many years to get away from other peoples animal noise and smell.

Have you seen the new threa here from a shelter that has to close?

Desperately looking for homes for animals. Maybe you can be a guardian angel and take one of their dogs :-)

Try PAWS DOG SHELTER Acheleia, just outside Paphos. Take a walk around - there are around 150 dogs in the shelter, various sizes and ages and many are good with kids. You are bound to see the dog that is right for you. They ask for a reasonable donation to be made for any dog that is homed. See the web-site http://pawsdogshelter.com/ There are a few dogs shown under the Re-homing section.

Yes I would recommend PAWS too.
They really look after their animals and do not
charge a fortune to re-home them :-)

So do PARC and most of their dogs are being trained as they are in foster homes.http://www.parc-cyprus.org/
