We have no choice as we have no more funds to continue so need to find urgent homes for all the cats and dogs we have in our care. So sad to hear that all your work with these animals has to end due to lack of funds and finding homes.Unfortunately,Cyprus is overrun with animals and there are so many well meaning people trying to help that funding is getting very thin on the ground. This is one of the reasons that Paphiakos tries to get all the funding as they invariably end up with all these animals when people cannot cope any more. I went there with a friend a few weeks ago to collect her dog that had been groomed and there were dozens of puppies they were looking after.It is a never ending cycle due to the lack of sterilising animals over here.Hundreds are put down every month,it is a terrible situation. |
