We are trying to catch a lovely looking golden labrador wearing a red collar in the village of Lysos (near Polis). The dog is still nervous and won't let us near yet. Patience will win I am sure. We have asked at the local coffee shop and around and nobody knows where the dog has come from. If anybody knows of a missing dog this side of the Island please get in touch. Thanks |

Hi, did you find the owners dog yet? I live in Meladia and there was a Cypriot family staying in the village who have two golden retrievers and a miniature pincer. They allow their dogs to run free and were becoming a bit of a nuisance as they bark at people passing by and have been running around in our garden too. A couple of weeks ago one of the Labs was barking incessantly across the road from us in an empty housing estate. We thought the dog might be trapped or fallen into an empty swimming pool, so went to try and help. The dog was actually in an empty house on the upstairs balcony and would not come to us or leave the house. As she wasn't in any danger, we left her. Later her owner arrived in their car and tried to coax the dog away and did so with difficulty. The dog didn't seem to want to go with her. I haven't seen the family or the dogs lately, but they may actually live full time in Nicosia and gone home. Could this be the dog? I think it was a blonde. |
