I found the aliathon hotel in paphos to
be a liitle bit out of paphos town , but since the very large upgrade over the last year,
most things can be found on the resort now ..
The only thing that I could not get to grips with , and a lot of other paphos hotels..
Is the insistance to try and fob off english tourists with frankfurter sausages
on an english breakfast .. it is such a no,no. ..

That's where my nephew and his family are staying in May - and I can't wait to see them. Best not tell him about the sausages though

I agree re the sausages, however simply recommend them to a healthy hearty breckie at the DP. And stock up for the week..

Well my nephew and his family are here, staying at the Aliathon and loving it! They were upgraded from a studio to a one bed apartment, and the facilities in the apartment are perfectly adequate. The facilities on site are superb - the childrens pool with the pirate ship is brilliant (we spent all day there yesterday), and the kids are loving it! Chris (nephew) says the food is perfectly adequate, there is plenty of choice, and it is edible.

When I was there yesterday I was impressed at how clean it is, there are staff round all the time emptying the rubbish bins etc., and it really is a lovely place.

Thats great news Jean, especially with some of the grumpy reviews Cyprus is getting at this time.
Hope we get to see them at the dp or the taverna night. You never know Neil may even start a ceche at the taverna nights to allow holidaying families to attend.

Tanny

Unfortunately they go back this Saturday the 16th. :(

Chris was telling me they actually made breakfast this morning, so I asked him about the sausages - no, they're not frankfurters, and he says they were very good.

I stayed here September 2009 for 2 weeks. The most important thing to note is that there are two parts to this place.
The Aeleos site and the Fisherman's Village site. The first is old and a little dated but the rooms are fine. The second site is where you want to be. The apts are great and the pool is impressive. We went AI and enjoyed the food and drink.
Very good for kids.
