I would just like to say my wife and I arrived home last night 23/7/2011 from Pafos,we stayed at the Mayfair, its the first time in the 28years of coming to Pafos that we could'nt waite to get home, food was shocking to get a decent meal you had to go out, drinks you had to waite for a waiter to serve you and that could take upto an hour most we waited was 1hr 24 minutes, pool area filthy people getting ear infections, sun beds total rubbish, thats if you could get one, the hotel manager what an arshole, the Thomos Cook hotel rep if you could get her away from her gin fiz was a waste of time in all I would say stay away from the place, theres so many other nice places to stay in Pafos, must say though we went with Thomas Cook who were useless, but the Thomsons rep was brilliant this all inclusive cost £1,900 what a waste of money. |

We were stranded in Lanzarote with Thomas Cook when it was the ash cloud thingy - we were 'flight only' When we contacted them about 'compensation' they paid out quickly and in full - couldn't fault them. Write a full and concise letter explaining your concerns - good luck. |

So sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience but it is good to get these reports as it warns others where to avoid when booking. I am surprised about Thomas Cook being so unhelpful as we have always had great service from them so I would write and tell them and give them chance to reply.Maybe their Rep in this instance is not as good as she could have been so it is for them to look into her actions(or lack of them ). The all Inclusive packages pare costs to the bone so the hotels often pare the quality and service accordingly. Personally we go self catering and eat out in the evenings which we find no cheaper but often better quality and more interesting. |
