Post subject: | Skin tag |
Hi My daughter wants to get a very small skin tag removed from her lip/near her lip when she visits Cyrpus next. Can you recommend a good dermatologist or perhaps the best way she should go about this? Thanks |

Hi Romar sorry I've taken awhile to get back to you, we've been travelling the past few days. A skin tag is a small flap of skin attached to the skin via a stalk, the tag has a blood and nerve supply. They are harmless and can be removed effectively by a Dermatologist especially on the face for cosmetic reasons. The procedure doesn't take very long, but the Dr will make a decision based on the size and where the tag is positioned, being on the face he may very well use laser treatment but there are other methods, once removed there should be no evidence after about one week. The cost in a private clinic here in the UK is approx £100 so use that as a guideline for Cyprus. A popular Dermatologist amongst the ex-pats in Cyprus is Dr Edward Fox address and contact details in the directory, also all of the Private Hospitals and Clinic's in Paphos have a Dermatology Department. Hope that helps, Janx |
