Universal live refuses to directly settle operation costs, in addition to refusing to pay bills I settled directly ( pre-op). So far they have managed to collect yearly subscription money from us.
My husband paid for his operation 3 years ago (reason: insured for less than 6 months with them, note: no previous medical history). They had already refused to pay for my pre operative bills, including X-rays, MRI , blood tests etc. and now they refuse to settle directly with the clinic for my operation costs (the clinic has direct settlement agreement with them).

UNLESS YOU THINK UNIVERSAL LIFE IS YOUR CHOSEN CHARITY AND YOU WISH TO JUST GIVE THEM MONEY FOR THE SAKE OF IT DO NOT INSURE THROUGH THEM.

You know the old saying... Blood out of a stone... This one is worse.
Stay healthy

Threaten them with legal action, if they don't respond see your solicitor.

Thanks for your support guys, I have contacted Axa PPP in Uk (Universal Life is their agent) to suggest what I should do. As far as I know there is no Ombudsman that deals with insurance companies complaints in Cyprus. I wonder whether it would be worth my while to sue as legal costs might mount up to a large sum if it goes on.
Anyhow, thank you guys very much for your help and kind words. Appreciate it
