I've already asked for the theme to Thomas the Tank Engine to be played at my funeral - both of my sons loved T the T when they were young and played the videos so often that the tune is permanently lodged in my head.

It's really hard to choose suitable music, we picked my Mum's favourite songs, Amazing Grace and Deanna Durbin but for my Dad, who had a sense of humour and loved Morecambe and Wise, we played Bring me Sunshine as we filed out after the funeral. My sister and I did the silly dance that Eric Morecambe used to do and it made everyone smile - it was family and friends attending so they knew we weren't being disrespectful. I know my Dad would have laughed.

To my mothers departure we composed a list of suitable offerings, Going Underground by The Jam was one of the better ones

Lots of variations of Pachel's Canon. This is a wedding but warming to the idea for my funeral. Serious piece of music but with a hint of fun when played this way

Would always select Samba Pa Ti for one of my tunes. But I would imagine I wouldnt really much care, it would be more for the two people who turn up and clap me under!!

Celebrate by Kool and the Gang would be their first choice.
