Pete Seeger was a beacon in the music world, and caught the spirit of his time. A great loss.
Of course, many of Lesley's list are still gigging and well worth seeing. I think many would be surprised at the quality and excellence of the current folk scene with it's new young breed. Just put the Spinners out of your mind and you will be OK
. Ok, so that last bit was a bit unfair. They were good at what they did. In fact, Mick Groves is still gigging. I met him for a coffee at the harbour a few years ago and discovered he was a really nice bloke.
