David Haye fighting Nikolai Valuev this weekend - this bloke looks genuinely terrifying!

Anyone going to be watching?

What a mismatch that looks.
I am seriously thinking of paying for it as it should be on at a reasonable time unlike the fights in USA.
I really like watching HAYE. His fights are explosive. He can punch but gets put down by relativelt small guys and it's not that long that he was Cruiserweight.
Never seen Goliath fight but my fingers will be crossed for the Hayemaker !

The bloke is an absolute beast right enough, but Haye should be way too quick for him, and has a hell of a punch on him as well.

A lot depends on whether he can avoid being tagged - if Valuev lands one on his chin it'll be thank-you and goodnight, but that's where being so tall can actually be a disadvantage - if he keeps it tucked in then it's difficult to get to the chin from such an awkward angle...

I've been wondering that myself - a couple of the bars have Sky Sports, but not sure if they'll shell out for the pay-per-view stuff. It'll likely be on around midnight our time which isn't too late. JJ's is probably the best bet - might have a wander round see if they're advertising it....

And, his mummy still loves him!!

Actually I thought Valuev was a new Asda budget product range.

I found a live stream for it, but it kept breaking up so didn't see as much as I would have liked - very professional job by Haye though, especially as it seems he broke his hand in the early rounds!

Valuve was awful. I don't think he's that good a boxer. I think he's only got there purely on his size. I think the boxing world really needs to add some more weight categories, anyone above 14st 4lb is heavy weight. Really 14st 4lb doesn't seem that heavy for a tall musclar bloke. Just checked the body mass index 14st 4lb is normal weight for anyone of 6"4' and over. Plus fighter are probably a lot heavy and still healthy.

The weight different between the two was just silly. If Haye had fought someone that was 7st light that him he would be fighting someone in the super flyweight division.

Anyways, Haye won :bounce
