After the success of the last Paphos People Footballers event, it seems that another is now in order with the Xmas party season fast approaching.

This will be an evening of culture and fine dining, interspersed with intellectual and topical conversation; is Gordon Brown doing a good job? Should our troops be in Afghanistan and Iraq? Do the BNP deserve a political voice?

Tickets will be €150 each and this will cover the costs of our guest speaker, one miss Edwina Curry - to answer any questions and fill any voids in your political mind set, and a fabulous seafood buffet.

Image

(HUBBA HUBBA :pow )

Buffet will include Sushi, the finest Scottish smoked salmon, caviare et al.

For ticket reservations please contact me directly.

If you are unable to attend the above event, perhaps you lower class scummers will feel more at home with a beer + curry Xmas lash-up?

We are looking to do this on Friday 4th December - Footballers and friends welcome. Final details will be confirmed once we have an idea of numbers.

Do you have to be a football player or can anyone join in?? If player, will there be trials to qualify or will a photo of evidence of muscles be evidence enough? Is this the right way to spell muscles and would the lack of spellinog also disqualify me? :doh

No need to be a footballer and no need to be able to spil eefer.

The more the merrier. :pow

The only qualifying point is that you are male. It's sexist, I know, but so were the sufragettes, in their own special way.

Is there any tickets left for the €150 event with Edwina as the other one seems very tacky to me :D :D :D :D

If were not careful it could end up in a prison such as Alcatraz :greetings

Major ball bags. I'm already doing a party on the 4th.....
Pretty much every other night of the month I'm free, can I tempt you into changing the date?

There's always one..................

Well the following week is the PP do, so that's out of the window. After that we are pretty much into it's Xmas territory and those going back to the UK will be gone.

So I guess we will do these options and go with the majority?

Friday 4th
Saturday 5th
Friday 18th
Saturday 19th

Any other suggestions welcome as this organising lark was thrust upon me

5th will be great.

However that party at Deans last night after the footie was a blinder, at least there was copious popcorn ( a quick hoover should do the trick Dean) and the music that Jeff had was blinding.

By the way Dean, you never did say where Ali was?

It was a shame I couldn't make last night. Might aswell have made the effort as the music kept me up til 2am and I could hear it in Tala. :tickedoff As i drove past on my way to work this morning I noticed the 'Banana Cabaret' minibus parked outside Deans - did you all get a lift back from the club?

Just to remind you all that we are still on for Saturday 5th December - all welcome.

Any suggestions as to venues for food and post food carnage?

For the sake of putting something on the table, lets start with the replica of last time - Pint in a bar, curry in Nemo's and then La Grotte.

All those in favour say 'aye'all the 'oxi's' state your ideas.

I had kind of assumed that was what would be going down...

Maybe book the curry in advance this time so they can get our mountains of food ready nice and quickly! And maybe you just have a Korma this time you great big girl.

7.30 Keg then Nemos for 8 (?) is fine by me - it think Martin offered to pre-order so we don't sit waiting for ages.

Not keen on the puking part ... spent Sunday night doing that :there

Keg then Nemos then wherever the wind blows us works for me!

I don't mind booking Nemos for us - do we have a rough idea of numbers?

I've not been on for a while. Happy to see that it's on the 5th now

I'll be in the G&D watching the villa match from 17:00 if anyone fancies starting a little earlier :)

Of course for those with a slightly more descerning palette, tht little bistro across from the bar on wendesday night does a mean meat flap kebab.

Those meat flap kebabs are great - if a little badly packed.

Ok, no worries, I'll just book for the 6 of us - if anyone else turns up they can take their chances!

Geoff, we'll be swinging by your way to pick Joe up, you want a lift?

You'd get on well with my wife! I only utter La Grotte as it's a long standing wind up. If I so much as went within 10 metres of that place my dinner would be in the dog for 5 years and i'd be sleeping on the sofa for infinity - and the sofa would be in a mates house!

There we were thinking we were safe in the sports section being 'macho men' - we aren't safe anywhere - women see and know all.

I have a hurty head.

Sooooooooooooo glad that I arrived home without any cash in my wallet for the taxi driver, who then had to ferry me to the cash point.

Awesome.

Oh and the wife was ecstatic when i fell through the door at 4am. Really chuffed. Do peas work on black eyes?

Despite a dazzling team performance all over the pitch i think it was a scoreless home draw after a substantial injury time.
