When I move over as well as looking forward to seing all premier games live on telly I want to go and see the local team AEP Paphos FC.
Does anyone on here go to see them ?
When do they play their games and at what time?
If you've been what level do they come up to when compared to the English leagues? (And don't say Sunderland  )
What crowds do they get?
Thanks Gary

I've been to a few of the games, including those of Evagoras and
APOP who joined together to create one strong Paphos team (AEP).

Although the league is improving it's still pretty poor. The league itself is actually ranked below Iceland's in terms of quality. It can be enjoyable to watch though don't get me wrong. On a terms of how it compares to the UK leagues, I would put it at League 1 tops, thats the league in general, although I believe there are teams that could compete in the Championship in England (Anorthosis, APOEL and Omonia)

Normally they play at the weekends, saturday and sunday afternoons. The games are played at the Paphiakos stadium which is near Debenhams & Super Home Centre.

As for the crowds, you're looking at about 2k-3k depending on who the away team is, it can be more

Here's their website anyway

Indeed I did, and funnily enough the title was exactly the same as this thread!

You can read my erudite musings here Mr DP:

(I did think of writing it anonymously, but the inevitable dig at sunderland would have given me away! )
