Hi,

Elizabeth was born last Friday in a Bangkok hospital she was 7 lbs, this is a photo of her today (only 4 days old and she looks bemused already).

Aww how lovely - I am sooooooo jealous/envious/wistful - call it what you will...

Is it hormones that switch the grandma switch on? I can't wait ...

How was the labour in the end? Was dad able to be there at the birth? I remember you said he could only visit during very restricted visiting times.

Congratulations

Hi,

thank you for the replies, Bizzy Lizzy (my name for her) will be seeing her grandma and Grandad on the 18th July when we fly out to Bangkok for 3 weeks. Steven (my son) wasnt allowed in the labour ward and had to stand at the door after the birth just to wave, they showed him the baby through the glass window and he had to wait till visiting time next day (7am) to see them both. Mother and baby doing well, dad running around like theres no tomorrow, they went home on Monday so now its down to a domestic routine for them both. He goes back to teaching next week (thankfully its a Thai holiday this week or he wouldnt have been able to have the time off - take note you guys in the UK theres no such thing as paternity leave in Thailand) and Sangdao is going back to teaching art to children in july.

RIta
xx

congratulations, she is lovely.

By the way, no paternity leave here either. Not that much maternity leave for that matter, nevermind its all worth it. A wonderful new edition to the family.
