You've not seen Usual Suspects ? aaaaaaahh cracking film limps along a bit though ...

I`m not very uptodate with movies to be honest - at least 12 months old stuff and i've probably just seen it.

I really enjoyed Transformers & Ratatouille, which surprised me. Blood Diamond was a good watch as was Last King of Scotland. There is a film with Jason Streatham called Crank which is pointless but i found very amusing.

One of my favourites is Labyrinth, but it is old now and is not to everyone's taste. But then, I do live in Narnia.

Last King of Scotland was a good film, it wasn't quite what I expected but I did enjoy it.

I'm sure I've seen Crank but for the life of me I can't remember quite what it is about!

Atonement, good story line and a good film I enjoyed it. Not sure

thou if it actually deserves an oscar but most definitely watchable.

One of my favourites is The Holiday with Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz, absolutely brilliant.

ok this reflects life with kids but have you seen Flushed Away? Now that was funny..even the twentieth time..

I have " i am legend" sitting downstairs but am too scared to watch it. I think it'll be like "28 days later" which terrified me...or was it 14 days? anyway, too many days for my liking..

"The Illusionist" was very good, bit slow but interesting - like some people i know!


And , although its not a film, i've been addicted to the latest series of House, M.D on DVD. That's dry humour but not for the health obsessed.

I'm into watching witch/warlock type films at present, something to do with the magic I suppose, so the 'Covenant' & 'The Illusionist' also, I've gto to say I was quite impressed with 'Transformers' it was very well put together

Found Shaun of the Dead hilarious & Hot Fuzz (same stars) which came later...... Shaun was better

One of our favourites is Down with Love, up to date version of an old Doris Day movie (can't remember the name). Rene Zelwigger and Ewan McGregor star (very funny)........ if you're senior movie buffs like us and remember the original, it's great

Love Actually, Bridget Jones, Private Ryan, Pearl Harbour, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings.

Other than that, anything that makes us laugh, Shrek, Nemo, Chicken Run, Wallace & Gromit (curse of the ware rabbit). Adults trapped in 10 year old bodies (that's us not a movie)

Sat down to watch Oceans Thirteen last night but fell asleep after the first 20 mins I'm sure it was the gas fire fumes which sent us snoozing.... or maybe the wine both woke up, the dvd had finished and the kerosene heater had run out fuel.. oh well, maybe we'll try again tonight

Agreed SOTD is better - both very good though! Have you seen Run Fat Boy Run yet? It's another Simon Pegg one that is meant to be very good but I haven't managed to get hold of a copy yet!

I've got to say I thought SOTD was pretty useless, not funny, bit boring really, so on that I've not watched Hot Fuzz

I think it's aimed more at a younger market....

I loved Shaun of the Dead, hilarious.

Always remember the first time we watched it... sat round the sitting room with CF and his mam and dad, pressed play and lo an behold about 2 minutes into the film and the "see you next tuesday" word was mentioned, along with some other quite strong language!

I just froze hoping that mam and dad in law had magically lost their hearing!

Good film though - not for kids!!!!!

One for the kids, 'Flushed Away' - I had a proper giggle at that and then for the grown ups 'No country for old men', I'm sitting on the fence with this one to be honest!

Trying to get 'Elizabeth - The Golden Age' and can't wait for 'The other Boleyn girl'. I love those types of film!

The Bourne Trilogy were excellent but my all time favourites are

LA Confidential
and
Get Shorty

The Departed is good, but is a remake of 2002 Hong Kong crime thriller Infernal Affairs, which is even better.

The Last King Of Scotland is excellent

and Carollynne - if gas fire/kerosene heater fumes are making you drowsy, you are in serious danger of death! The amount of carbon monoxide given off can be lethal in a confined space.

I loved the bourne trilogy.

I recently watched The Prestige. I liked it so much that I immediately watched it again. Then again a few weeks later.
Brilliant.

Also loved The Illusionist.

Other favs are Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile, Terminator 1,2 & 3.

Gone With The Wind is my all time favourite. I have seen it so many times I know the script almost word for word.

I too like Hugh Grant dancing to Jump in Love Actually.
