You are holding a Dinner Party for you & 5 guests: Who out of any period of history (excluding family / friends etc) would you invite to your Dinner Party to get an equal balance: None of them must be living now so you've got about 2000 yrs of people!! to choose from, difficult...........

Still thinking about mine.............

My choice would be:

Queen Victoria....in a poll taken a few years ago, she came in at number 15 as one of the most interesting women throughout history, I agree with that.

Florence Nighingale....so I could compare notes

George Mackay Brown....a well know author/poet from the Orkney Islands and my favourite of all time. Many years ago I bought at auction a copy of his first work and is one of my treasured possessions, I'd ask him to sign it

Mother Teresa....to ask her what she thought of the world today, I don't think she'd be best pleased.

Barry White....I grew up with his ballads :heart

No, I'm not religeous, but I think this would be a very interesting meeting and could perhaps answer many questions!

Scary stories, beautiful music, tales of great art work and end the evening with Rabbie Burns poetry and a big dram of whiskey!

Just listening about their lives would be fascinating enough!

Winston Churchill - anyone who, when drunk and accosted by a lady saying 'Sir, you are drunk' then replies 'And you madam are ugly. In the morning I will be sober' has to be a first class raconteur apart from a brilliant politician.

Martin Luther King - is this what you really envisaged?

Charles Darwin - so do the theories really hold up then?

Henry viii - so what do you now think of the religion you removed and the one with which it was replaced?

Charlie Chaplin - did all your progeny turn out as you would have wished, and 'is today's cinema what you envisaged when you began???'
