As this is a public holiday, but it's on Sunday this year.

Is everything closed on Monday then? Or is some on Saturday? Or both?

As a rule places don't close on a Monday here if the holidays falls on a Sunday, but you never know! I've not seen any notices on supermarket doors saying they're closed anyway.

There does seem to be quite a few shops closed this morning.

Went to Oliver's after the gym and it was closed :( . I noticed a few near were also closed.

Post Office was open.

If you can put off going to the small shops an extra day, I would probably wait just in case.
