I was allready going to ask for staples like bread, butter, milk , cheese couple of bottles of wine :D not that we have a problem..but be nice to have a glass to celebrate our new life as we arive :celeb2

I was going to do a proper shop the day after we arived..........not realising till I looked on the calender that hmmmmmmmm the next day is a sunday

Are you insinuating that 98% of this country (99.8% of expats?) has a problem?

I don't know about supermarkets, Sundays are to enjoy the bottle of wine :P but here it seems that most kiosks always have fresh bread, and pretty much anything needed to survive a couple of days. That also includes a selection of different bottles of wine. At least the ones in my neck of the woods do. :D

may I say a HUGE thankyou to all of your replies

and neil

how kind are you to offer to take us to the supermarket :clap

we have though managed to get a car rented for when we arive

so although we might get lost going from Peyia to Chloroka........hopefully we won't

mind you it's odds on ariving as late as we are 9.25 pm at the airport that we are quids on for getting lost on our way over to peyia

even with the directions from the owner :manic

I will order some basic groceries in for a just in case situation

as we can allways eat out for our sunday main meal

any sugestions for some good sunday grub locally in peyia :D

Neil what do you sell at the market?

and where is the market?

we have such a lot to learn which will make things really interesting for us

thanx to you all for all of your brilliant help

much appreciated

as is knowing that you all seemingly like wine as much as I do :celeb2

maggie
