Another match winning strike from the Fenham Pele - sharpening his goalscoring claws just on time to feast on his favourite prey....

You know my view son this guy and one goal isn't going to change it. However, credit where credit is due, his goal won the points for us. Martin, to show my gratitude to Shola can you arrange to feed the donkey in the Stone House yard!!!!

With Carroll out the door big chance for Shola to step up and claim his rightful place as the main man - I've very faith in him...

Fractured cheekbone apparently, which means he'll have to play in a mask.

No real hindrance to a superhero like Shola. :congrats

Despite the £35M in the Bank the "Fat Man" has committed the Toon to another season of drudgery with the Donkey as our main striker. How has Shola survived through 15 managers - hard to believe. According to today's paper they have now turned their eyes to JERMAINE BECKFORD! He will certainly make Shola look like a pedigree.

I am going for 53 points this year, slight improvement on last, but I have no conviction we will achieve it.

Come on Discopants - where are you?????

Roger (TOON ARMY TILL I DIE - despite the "Fat Man")

Fabulous news:

Quote:
Striker Shola Ameobi pens new Newcastle United deal

Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi has signed a two-year extension to his contract at St James' Park.

The 29-year-old, who has been at the club since he was 13, scored nine Premier League goals last season.

"Newcastle is, and always will be, my club and I'm looking forward immensely to the next three years," he said.

Here's to 16 more years Shola! :cheers
