Not looking that way now - only came third in the first Caucus, behind Obama and Edwards.

Could it be the yanks still have memories of her husband's antics while in office??

Come on - it's the first caucus out of 50 caucuses/primaries!! And Iowa has a 'disregard' for women in office at the best of times.
New Hampshire is the one to watch, although even that one gets it wrong 50% of the time!

I saw on TV... (sounds worse than, a man in pub told me !!)
That the first caucuses iowa is what sets the pace...

No way Jambo, Iowa is a very small player in the scheme of US politics. Caucuses are the old-style way of determining the party candidates, only used in geographically large but thinly populated states - usually unrepresentative and low turnout!.
Nevertheless they fulfil the same functions as primaries, but primaries at least use an election procedure!!

Sounds like you know your political stuff Moufflon, good job they allow that Politics & religious stuff on this forum, or you'd have nothing to say

Personally, I don't know nothing about either & don't really care, I served my time & did my duty, now its me time

As the US has a constitution, the method of electing a President is pretty specific.

Each state has to firstly decide which candidates the individual parties choose - and this is what's happening at the moment and will be for the next 6 months or so.

The methods for this are twofold, a caucus or a primary. A Caucus is simply a meeting to decide which candidates that state will choose. These states are usually geographically large but thinly populated - Iowa, Dakota, Nevada...... As I said - old style, usually attract unrepresentaive results and very very low turnout.....

Most states use Primaries to elect candidates - this is an election to decide the party's candidates, more democratic and indicative. watch New Hampshire - Kennedy country!

Well Hillary won in New Hampshire, despite trailing in the polls - seems it could be a close run thing yet!

Not sure how these things work but if its between these 2 only, then America is in for something entirely new, either a Black President or a Female President, none of which as ever happened before......

But knowing the Americans, that won't happen, someone will come up from behind & he'll be white & male
