There's A Ghost In My House - R Dean Taylor

Absolute classic, stomping sound, makes me want to drop everything and dance there and then.

My all time favourite tune - ever.

Thank you JGG!
I love this tune so much that I have it as a ringtone on my phone. I never get fed up of hearing it.

Hi Marina,

Glad to hear it. I first heard it in a friends bedroom when I was about 16, I'm 38 now.
Since then I met my hubby and he introduced me to Northern Soul and he remembers it being played at Wigan Casino (he's older than me!)

I have the tune on my PC so I downloaded it to my phone via its memory card. Its a new phone and I was just playing around. Woo, it worked!

I also like in close second place The Snake - Al Wilson. I might put that on my phone next!

'Teach Your Children' by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, the lyrics are classic songwriting.

Alison, I love that one too. Great dance tune. It's in my top 5!

Sadly I have not found anywhere over here to strut my stuff. I do miss the NS nights we used to go to.

CSNY are from what I consider the golden era of 'Laurel Canyon' where the current and up and coming superstars resided; Byrds Mama Cass, Eagles, Linda Rondstad etc etc etc formulating the supergroups/superstars that followed into and throughout the 70s.

John, I bought Deja Vu and Who's Next, I believe on the same day. They were the first two albums I ever bought.
I loved the track Carry On on Deja Vu and loved every single track on Who's Next.
Happy Days.

Hi Louise, How weird is this. I'm also 38 now and i was about 16 too when i first heard this song. My first love (aaahh) used to play it all the time and i was hooked the first time i heard it!

When we first got together he used to make me listen to 10cc, I'm not in Love and he would tell me every time to listen carefully to the words. Well, if you know the words then you can imagine how i used to feel and the message he was sending me. I had the last laugh in the end as i finished with him a couple of years later and he was gutted. Needless to say i hate that song now.

I've got the tune on my pc, do i need t use this bluetooth thingy to transfer it to my phone?

Marina.

It's similar when working in a band, some songs you never tire of playing the songs you hate tire you, 'Rocky Mountain Way' is a gem, I get a fantastic buzz from playing that song.

Getting ready for tonights gig in 'Matlock Derbyshire' with my Delta Blues band.

Hi Marina,

How insensitive, glad to hear you gave him the boot. What a numpty.

LOL thats so spooky. But its funny how a song can stay with you all these years.

I think you can Bluetooth from PC to mobile phone if your PC is set up for it. I have no idea how to do it though. I bought a memory card with my phone and it slots into the front of my laptop and I just copy over what I want. You need someone a bit more techie than me!

Alison, I'd love to be able to go to a NS night here. My hubby was thinking about organising one at a local hotel that has a decent function room but he quickly gave up the idea when he realised how much work would be involved. LOL.

For a good old foot stomping, you cant beat this song by Roots, i also loved all 'around my hat' but i guess i am a bit of an old hippy at heart.

I've done it! Lord knows how, but i've managed to bluetooth it from PC to mobile and it's now a ringtone. Well, i did have to ask my hubby how to do it and he gave me the stuff and off i went.

Thanks for the inspiration Lou.

Go on You tube type in The Hooters or Satellite which is the name of the song, turn up the volume.
The ultimate song to end any party.
Fantastic !

This week I'd like to nominate What it is by Mark Knopfler.
If you haven't heard this get on You tube videos type in Mark Knopfler find it and turn the volume up and listen to it.
He's a canny guitarist and this'll make your hair stand up !
