Hopefully we have at last secured a sale on our UK property and hope to be moving back to Cyprus around the end of next month/beginning of October.
We need a reliable workhorse that is usable for Akamas as well as everyday driving so ground clearance important as is strength!
If you think you may have something suitable please post on here or PM me. Thankyou.
Hubby will also be looking for a small cabin cruiser ( Latchi area) if anyone knows of any available.

Hi Beverley
Socrates here regarding the Terios on another thread - no problem for the 6ft driver but it will reduce legroom for any passenger in the backseat!
Please PM me with your email address and I will send you photos.

Regards

I will probably not make any friends with Terrios owners but we hired one when we first came out here 3 years ago and decided it was mot man enough and changed it within a few days.

The twin cab is the Cypriot vehicle of choice - you pay half the road tax of a similar vehicle without the pick up. The ground clearances are much much better than any of the 4X4 cars and these pickups go on and on with little maintenance. They mostly have 4X4 low ratio gearboxes in addition to the normal rear wheel drive, so they go places other 4 x 4 don't. The newer models drive much like are car inside and have the usual electric this and that. Unfortunately because the twin cabs last so long they do not depreciate as much as cars so the second hand price is higher. Just look at the Libya / Afghanistan pictures all twin cabs.

I am a member of the Paphos 4 x 4 club and a large number of members have the Pajerio which if you must have a car style performs extremely well on the off road outings we make every month.

As you said you wanted something strong don't buy any car pretending to be an off road vehicle by being an occasional 4X4.

Anyways lots of twin cabs and some pajeros for sale at the moment, don't buy anything till you get here and make offers :D
