The Veronica is nice as a building in an average area but was very poorly managed when we stayed.

I was at the Veronica yesterday, as a friends daughter is getting married today, and some of the wedding party are staying there. They are quite happy with the hotel, as they say, it's only advertised as a 2*, so it's better than they thought! However, I must say that the drinks prices at lunchtime were horrendous! A small glass of diet coke (on tap, not can or bottle) €1.95, a small bottle of water (500 mil) €1.95, a frappe €3.20!!!!
So for 2 waters, 1 coke and 1 frappe the bill came to €9.05 - I offered a €10 note plus 2 x 2c pieces and a 1c piece, and was told that "the till cannot take them, must be 5c piece!"

I believe the night bar is happy hour all night, so they said the drinks prices then were very good, but please be aware of the pool bar prices at lunch time!

Retirement - harder work than working - But much more fun

I know it s a long time since we stayed there but looking at this sites reviews and others it seems to have got worse, a free holiday is just about all I'd tolerate just for the free flight.
