..... to a very nice couple who bought some Jeyes Fluid out in their container for us. We can now use it to clean down the patio areas and freshen them up, especially as we have a dog.

I have not seen Jeyes in Cyprus, and Phil is a happy bunny now that he has some.

Verity when my friends ask --do you want anything bringing out -- yes you've guessed I always ask for JF just a small tin. This is the best stuff for cleaning down where the dogs peed also cleaning all the garden pots and tools. Long live JF

One word of advice, please make sure anything of this nature is put into a bag and sealed, we have seen tins leak because of the heat and it makes one 'ell of a mess.

As Jeyes Fluid is a chemical of sorts, shouldn't it be packaged in a sealed box, surrounded with material capable of soaking up any spillages & contain a COSHH data sheet & Hazardous material docs

Not looked lately at the tin for hazchem markings but would not think, IMHO, it inflamable or combustible. A few bottles of scotch would do more harm
I have taken worse things out of peoples shipments.

I wasn't saying you can't ship it, after all its your company I was just asking if it was a hazardous chemical, shouldn't you have the correct paperwork & markings

Well, we can't be sure the temperature won't go above 35 degrees can we? But it is stored sensibly, as we have always done.

Peter, thanks for the tip. As we have not used the stuff out here before that is useful to know.

Our patio and the area where Jessie pees smells like coal tar now. I just love that smell.

Pete, you are right in the context of the hazchem requirements and we would refuse certain items, but some items like disposable ciggie lighters must go in the hold of an aeroplane...no certificates required as hold baggage. Strange what can be carried and what cannot.

Most household cleaners have some degree of hazchem but they all fall under different classes.
