Back in the days ... Now theres a statement !! ..
Anyway , I had a customized MkIII Cortina , I had it all customed up ,
It was British racing green , with Gold Metalic , in it , everything that was silver chrome ,
I had re-dipped in gold chrome ,
I had both sides done from front to back
with a silouette of a night time , New York skyline done by Airbrush .. It was a very nice car.

Hi, thanks for the comments, however I will be coming to Cyprus to semi-retire at 38 so I don't need to adjust my prices to suit. I have been at this for only a few months in the uk and I've been painting scooters and making a fortune. I already have contacts in paphos who have motorcycle shops. I don't need to work to live anymore as I can live off the interest of the finances I have in place. I will more than likely be importing a container load of bikes every six months or so and rebuilding them and custom painting them at the same time then moving them on. If I only do one a month it will do for me, also I am into renovating property so I will be looking into working on properties, fitting CCTV and alarm systems etc so I have many avenues to persue just to keep me busy.
Thanks again

Back in the days means your showing your age Neil!! And especially since you mention a mk3 cortina, not many of those left now. Did you keep any pics of it?

No ,but I wish I had , when I moved here (pre EU)
you could not bring in old cars , the word (classic car) did not translate ..
So it was left in the UK , it was a very nice car , I spent lots on it , more than I would ever get back for it .. if you imagine this , with all the chrome , gold and the sides airbrushed with a dark skyline of new york , it was a very nice car ..

Ah, so Neil had the family version. Still pretty cool tho', can see him cruising with hair past the shoulders tapping his feet to Joe Loss.

Its a real pity many of us will have lost photos from our pasts.

No , it was the metal roof , I took it right down the bare metal and started again ..
The good thing was , a 2.0ltr sierra engine fitted in perfect , so it had that also .
I was a dream to drive .
