Hi, I have driven through Koili or Killi or Koilli or however they spell it, several times, but I don't know much about it. I know there are some Brits there, and that like all villages, there is some building going on.

I keep meaning to turn down for the village centre, but have never had the time. I think I just run through the outskirts on my way to Tala or Kamares.

When you meet your muhktar he may be able to give you some of the history of Koili. Ours was a mine of information.

Good luck for the move.

Good luck to you both - you move out 1 day before we do!!! I can't answer the questions about Koili either but I would be interested to find out, as we have a couple of rental possibilities in Koili that I may well be checking out next week.

Maybe see you there in May????

I have sent martin a good map of cyprus.
You can zoom in and out all over the island.
he will post it up to web page soon.
The village that you are talking about is between
tsada and tala ,, but a little bit further up..
right next to agios Neofytos monastery ..

and yes,, there is a chance you might see snakes..

I have seen a snake outside the coral beach hotel !!
Am not saying 100% you will see a snake,, but you have more chance in the villages ..

Well in the 16 months we've lived in Tsada, I haven't seen any snakes anywhere  and we have open land all around us

In fact, I've only seen one Tarantula & that was only a baby

So don't be put of living in the villages because you might or might not see a snake or Tarantula :D :D

.....had a whip snake bashing away at the patio door trying to get in to get away from the cat that was tormenting it. The snake hid in a roll of carpet and there was a stand off for hours as the snake peeked out and got a bash on the nose for its trouble. .....cat got bored and snake slithered away............

Hi Julie & Geoff

Well we could be neighbours as we are moving to Koili this weekend.

I am afraid I have mixed emotions as we are leaving Tala and I really didn't want to, but we just couldn't find anything suitable to rent here. All the good houses are out of our price range

Anyway I have to say there doesn't seem to be much to the village but it is only 2 minutes to the Polis Rd and you can get to most places off there.

Good luck with your move, it is a very exciting time for you :D

If you need any advice on the pool, I'm always here :D :D

I also have a Pool & Beach Accessories Shop, so if you're not wanting to get a poolman in to clean the pool & like me want to spend time in it & not cleaning it all the time, I have a few suggestions & products to help you out :D :D

On the other hand, we have a couple of Poolmen who advertise with us also

Tina, we were walking down to Barry and Doreen's on Sunday - down the steps if you know where I am on about - and a huge black whip snake that had been basking in the sun slithered into the rocky wall. I heard it rustling, which made me look, and only saw the last four feet of it's tail disappearing. It looked huge.

Just make a noise and they will avoid you. It is better to have the black whip snakes around as they eat the rats and the blunt nosed vipers. They won't eat you.

Now spiders, on the other hand .....
