I used to wear contacts all the time back in the UK, but tend to stick to the glasses over here (find it generally easier - don't worry about losing them swimming, stinging when sweat runs in the eyes during summer etc) so it's been a couple of years since I bought any, but I did find them cheaper here back then - think I paid CYP60 for 6 pairs of the monthly ones, but mine was quite a specialised prescription due to my astigmatism, so this cost more :(

My eldest uses contacts. I remember him losing one during a rugby match on his 16th birthday and trying to find it in the mud.

You can get special sports ones, but he still just uses his ordinary ones and hopes for the best.

Nothing to do with your post, really Frank. I am just reminiscing.

Does anyone know if any of the Cypriot opticians do extended wear contact lenses (the ones you sleep in) I have these at the moment and would like to keep on using them when I eventually move to Cyprus

The Cypriot opticians seem to do most things. There is also a British guy who advertises in the magazines.

Are you coming over soon? Just call in and ask, but I am sure you will be able to get everything you can get in the UK.
