You can't beat a good old comedy routine, and this is an old one. I remember seeing this when I was a lad. In this video it was redone on the Parkinson Show in the 80s.

Modern commedians could learn a bit from this.

Nope!

You will have to try harder Josef. None of them cut the mustard for me....

My kind of comedy is whitty, sharp humour like this: http://wp.me/p1uja5-Xc

Oh you are far too modern you two. Although I must admit I did like your link Shell.

I like to go back to the roots. It was the old black and white comedy of the past that put down the foundations for today's comedy.

I'll find some more.

Tommy Cooper is hardly modern. I must admit I also liked Hancock, Ken Horne,Life with the Lyons and The Clitheroe Kid on the radio.Max Millar was funny too but your first example was pretty dire in my opinion.

Well I'm in my mid 50's but I admit I do find it very difficult to watch anything in black and white these days. Especially when my other half (who is 3 years younger than me) puts Turner C r a p Movies (TCM) on the TV.

Many years ago when we were looking at options as to where we were going to retire we rented a Villa in Denia, in Spain, one of the few things we could get on the TV were Turner Classic Movies. Believe me you can grow to like them !
